Bachelors Degree
in Early Childhood Education

As an Early Childhood Education major, you will undertake your own educational journey, one in which you will transform into a compassionate and playful teacher.

Take part in service-learning programs throughout Boulder and Denver—and even internationally. Learn contemplative teaching skills. And study holistic early learning traditions including Waldorf, Montessori, the Italian Approach, Krishnamurti, popular education, and Shambhala.

Most of Naropa’s Early Childhood Education graduates go on to become early childhood teachers, open their own schools, or pursue teacher licensure to teach in the public sphere.

The Alaya Preschool

Gain first-hand experience in Naropa’s own laboratory preschool, which emphasizes the development of children’s social and language skills, as well as their emotional and physical growth.

The Mary Culkin Lecture Series

Take part in this special lecture series, which brings local and national leaders in the field of Early Childhood Education to campus to speak.
