Individual, Couples, and Group therapies.
I am passionate about working with individuals, couples, and groups. I love to create
a safe, trusting, and an all-inclusive space as a fertile ground for our relationship
that supports change, growth, and actualization in you. I would like to help you live
a more creative, peaceful, meaningful, fulfilled, and open life that is not influenced
by the residue of earlier traumas but from a resourceful place within you. I believe
in the basic goodness you possess and the innate brilliance that has allowed you to
go through everything you have to be here today. I also hold space for all the pain
and suffering you have endured. I consider this process sacred and look forward with
excitement and curiosity to sharing this organic unfolding of life on this journey
with you and I’m grateful for the opportunity.
My aspiration for being an innovative, present-centered, heart-centered, and mindful
therapist stems from my life’s journey and love for service and the human experience.
My approach is always tailored to meet my client's needs, while being informed and
inspired by my studies into the transpersonal, humanistic, and body-centered therapeutic
orientations including mindfulness-based psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
(DBT), Sufism, Buddhism, contemplative practices, creative expressions, Gestalt therapy
and the Hakomi Method of body centered psychotherapy.
As a psychotherapist, I’m here for you so you can explore what has lead to your current concerns and what might be left unresolved. We will work together so that what is normally background may temporarily be called into the foreground of attention, allowing healing and peaceful contentment to occur. When you are able to see clearly, rather than through the lens of your previous conditioning, you are in the position of power.
In our being together, I use mindfulness, breath work, movement, creative expressions,
focusing, body awareness, dream work, art, nature, artistic and verbal support, healing
touch, and journaling. Through thoughtful expression and insightful exploration, you
will learn to nurture and grow reliable qualities within yourself to call upon for
safety, security, health, and strength both presently and in the future.
I truly believe that the more I know about myself and explore my own inner being,
the more I can be there for you. What I love about my passion for therapy is that
it requires me to grow on a daily basis in order to meet you where you are.
My intention is not to keep you in therapy but to help you move forward in your life.
I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, training in Gestalt and Mindfulness based therapeutic approaches, Human Sexuality, Transforming Addictions, Contemplative Teaching, Group Therapy, Multicultural and Diversity Counseling, Diagnostic Assessment, Career and Lifestyle Transitions, Human Growth and Development, Death and Dying, Traditional Eastern Arts, Meditation, and Research and Statistics. I am a Mindfulness Instructor at Naropa University and a Sangha Guide with the Colorado Insight Meditation Community.
My education through cutting edge research and trainings, work experiences, and personal growth have helped shape me both professionally and personally. They have helped me to find empathy, compassion, and insights into the work I do with my clients and in facilitating transformation through the arising of the optimal field of loving presence.
Furthermore, I draw from my 24 years of experience with meditation and mindfulness
practices and my experiences as a teacher, mentor, and a filmmaker.
I am thankful to all my clients who have trusted me and have had the courage to commit
to their work.
