- The Publishing Industry & Breaking into Print

What are the current trends in the publishing industry and what does the future hold for it? How does one break into print and stay published in a constantly changing industry? Join us for ideas, strategies and inspiration in this workshop facilitated by Naropa alumnus Nate Jordon, ’08, founder of Monkey Puzzle Press.
Nate Jordon, ’08, founded Monkey Puzzle in 2007, a biannual literary arts journal published by Monkey Puzzle Press. He’s the chief editor, designer and creative director behind Monkey Puzzle - affectionately referred to as the “Monkey-in-Chief.” Nate holds a BA in English from California State University, Fresno, and an MFA in Writing & Poetics from Naropa University's Jack Kerouac School. His poetry and prose appear in various periodicals and journals.

Has your money situation gotten shaken up lately? The current economic turbulence is challenging to real and hoped for security. Bailout, meet The Secret.
Take your money scene to the laundromat of the soul for a new way to clean up your act. This introductory crash course will include honest discussion, practical steps and mind/body/energy experiential work. You’ll leave with a sense of having strengthened your own wisdom and creativity about how to best steward your current and future wealth.
We'll cover:
- Your inner and outer wealth balance—and next steps it suggests
- Naming what is and facing what ifs
- A Sufi practice for heart-centered business decisions
- Mental tools to tame fear and self sabotage
- Body-based fun for anchoring future desires in the now
- Energy techniques for bypassing the inner skeptic

How to Repackage Your Gifts for Success... in 8 Weeks or Less
Facilitator: Before graduating from Naropa's TCP program in 2006, Becky DeGrossa, ‘06 worked for IBM for twenty years. She's fascinated with the challenge of marketing therapy and started New Generation Practices to support therapists in developing their practice. This workshop is based on her recent experiments in helping therapists repackage their services, and promises to open your eyes to a new way to rejuvenate your practice—yes, even during a recession.
