Career Services

If you are interested in a Naropa education, it is likely you are looking to create a life and career that goes beyond the conventional wisdom of mainstream culture. Career counseling, Naropa style, begins with building a career that resonates with your deepest levels of integrity. It means following your heart, your intuition, and your calling. It means finding your unique contribution to the world and moving in that direction with commitment, purpose, and dedication.  We are not only committed to giving you the best education possible, we are also committed to helping you launch your dreams and be successful in your chosen profession. Career Services is a free service for Naropa students and alumni.

Career Services assists students and alumni in making meaningful and positive academic and career decisions. The process of career development and planning can be difficult, and the career services coordinator can help you:

  • Explore your interests, values, skills, and talents
  • Identify potential academic and career paths
  • Develop internship and job search strategies
  • Plan your graduate school or other educational application process
  • Learn how to write effective cover letters and resumes
  • Prepare for the interview process

Or assist you if you have any other concerns, questions, or need information about your career.

Undergraduate Students

As an undergraduate student, Career Services strongly encourages you to meet with the career services coordinator your first year at Naropa. You can begin exploring and defining who you are; your innate talents, interests, values, and skills; and professional paths of interest to you. Experiential learning in the form of volunteer work, community service, informational interviewing, job shadowing, or interning can provide incredible opportunities to explore different areas of interest, and we are here to help you identify these opportunities. It takes time to develop a career vision, and the career services coordinator can help you with your vision from your first year and throughout your time at Naropa.

Graduate Students

Career Services can also support graduate students as you begin obtaining direct experience in the field through part-time work, volunteering, or interning. As you progress through your graduate studies, you will need to start planning for life after graduation, developing your career goals, and manifesting your life’s work. Utilize Career Services to develop effective job search strategies and to make every resume, cover letter, and interview you do professional and impressive, so you are well prepared to create the work you love while you are here and when you leave.

Employers and Graduate Schools

Career Services serves as the principal point of contact for employers and graduate schools recruiting Naropa students and alumni and offers a variety of recruitment options and services to help you connect with students and graduates. If you are interested in recruiting Naropa students or graduates for internships, jobs, or graduate school, contact Career Services. We look forward to working with you.
