Zora Neale Hurston Award

The Zora Neale Hurston Award is awarded to selected students who identify with, or who have experience working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The award amount covers partial to full tuition (for all recipients) and housing costs (for out-of-state recipients) for one to four weeks of the Summer Writing Program (credit or noncredit). The award is based on exceptional literary merit and promise as well as financial need.  Students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
