Buddhist meditation is based on the path of seeing who we really are, simply and naturally. This workshop introduces participants to the basics of sitting meditation from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Beginning and experienced meditation students will guided in this direct experience of mind.
Mindfulness and compassion are the basis of any spiritual practice. Anyen Rinpoche often says these two are like the wheels that move a practitioner down the path, and enrich one's worldly
and spiritual life. Throughout the weekend, Rinpoche will discuss how to live and practice deliberately—and how to merge this mindful quality with humor, love, and rejoicing in the good fortune of all beings.

Anyen Rinpoche, aTulku from Amdo, Tibet, is an esteemed scholar as well as the lineage holder of his root Lama, Tsara Dharmakirti Rinpoche. He is the fifth in an unbroken lineage of heart sons who received their uncommon lineage of the Longchen Nyingthig and introduction to the Dzogchen teachings directly from the renowned Dzogchen master Patrul Rinpoche. Anyen Rinpoche's training included more than fourteen years of intensive study combined with solitary retreat before he obtained the degree of khenpo and became the head scholar of his root Lama's monastic university in Kham, Tibet.

* The Friday evening lecture can be purchased separately for $20. The $195 registration fee is for the the full intensive weekend which consists of Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Individuals who purchase only the Friday evening lecture and later wish to enroll for the full weekend will have the opportunity to purchase Saturday and Sunday for $175.00. The $175 rate will be available to all individuals who purchase the $20 Friday evening lecture. Friday-only registrants will receive an email that contains a $175.00 registration link on Friday, November 13, 2009.All fees are for tuition only. No lodging or meal programs are available.
