Doctor of Philosophy in Arts and Science with specialty in Ecopsychology

JP started teaching at the college level in 2000, has a private practice focusing on relationships and stages of development, and also works as an environmental community engagement consultant. She has extensive experience with service learning and working as a volunteer and board member with environmental organizations. She holds several national certifications in parenting and birthing education, Marriage and Family Mediation, and has studied and taught Non-Violent Communication extensively. She also holds a master's degree in Adult Education, Training, and Program Development. She has over 25 years experience as a newspaper journalist and editor, serves as a peer reviewer for national publications, and is the author of children's book about environmentalist Mardy Murie (Mardy Murie Did!).  JP has a deep interest in the human relationship with nature and was one of the first doctoral graduates in the emerging field of Ecopsychology.
