Lisa Birman is the author of For That Return Passage – a Valentine for the United States of America, and co-editor of Civil Disobediences: Poetics and Politics in Action. Her work has appeared in Floor Journal, Milk Poetry Magazine, Trickhouse, and not enough night. Lisa was the Director of The Kerouac School’s SWP for over a decade and teaches for Naropa’s MFA in Creative Writing.
