Graduation
Students preparing to graduate from Naropa (both undergraduate and graduate
students) must complete the following steps:
Fill out and turn in a Graduation Application. These forms are available from your advisor, at Student Administrative Services or on the Registrar's Web. For deadlines, please see the Academic Calendar.
Check in with the following departments at least three weeks before the end of your final semester to make sure that they have approved you to graduate:
The Tuition Cashier will verify that you have no outstanding balances. Students with an outstanding balance will not be allowed to participate in the commencement ceremony and will not receive a diploma or transcripts.
Phone: 303-546-3554; tuition@naropa.edu
Financial Aid will advise you on completing your Student Loan Exit Interviews (if you received student loans while attending Naropa). This may be done online at http://mapping-your-future.org
Phone: 303-546-3563; karenl@naropa.edu
Student Affairs will give you information about Commencement.
Phone: 303-546-3562; tashi@naropa.edu
The Library will verify that you do not have any overdue books or unpaid fines.
Phone: 303-546-3507; library@naropa.edu
Complete the Student Survey online (spring graduates only):
For Undergraduate Students, submit Naropa University Survey of Undergraduates
For Graduate students, submit Naropa University Survey of Graduates
For Online students (Low Residency), submit Naropa University Survey of Online Students
Attend a graduation Clearance Fair to submit an Administrative Clearance Form (required for graduation). Check your naropa.net email account regularly for dates and locations.
Please note that participating in Commencement is not the same as graduating. Degrees will not be conferred until students have completed their degree requirements, regardless of whether they have "walked" in a Naropa graduation ceremony.
Students who have not paid their balance in full upon completing their degree requirements will have their degree conferred, but will not receive a diploma, will not be able to order transcripts and will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony until their balance is paid.
Questions regarding graduation should be directed to the assistant registrar: 303-546-3539; gwagner@naropa.edu
