Career Services for
Faculty & Staff

Keeping up-to-date with the ever-changing, wealth of career-related information and the job-search process is difficult and overwhelming. Helping students in their job searches can result in unanticipated illegal or unethical actions. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) has developed a Faculty Guide to Ethical and Legal Standards in Student Hiring that addresses these issues.  Career Services is also available to assist Naropa faculty and staff in providing students with career and employment information for today’s world of work.

Students may also ask you to write a letter of recommendation on their behalf as they apply for graduate school, internships, or jobs.  About.com offers several helpful tips for writing letters of recommendation, while NACE covers legal matters in its guide Suggested Guidelines for Writing References.

We sincerely appreciate faculty and staff who encourage students to utilize our services and who partner with us to help students make meaningful academic and career decisions.  We also enjoy invitations into the classroom to connect with students and help them in their career development as it relates to their academic pursuits.  For an understanding of the resources available to students and alumni, please review the For Students section of this website.

Please feel free to contact Career Services if you have any questions or would like to collaborate!
