SafeWalk Program
Naropa University’s Safewalk Program on the Arapahoe Campus
- Are you concerned for your safety?
- Do you have class or study on campus later in the evening?
- Is it dark and you are walking alone back to your car or home?
SafeWalk may be the answer!!
Naropa University is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for the campus community. Any time students or employees feel unsafe walking to the parking lot or walking to their nearby residence, they can request a Safe Walker. The purpose of the SafeWalk Program is to provide a safe walk for Naropa students and employees from the Arapahoe Campus to their residences in the Goss-Grove neighborhood (from 15th Street to Folsom Street and from Arapahoe Avenue to Canyon Blvd.)
Where are the SafeWalkers located:
Student lounge in the Sycamore Building
Phone number: 720-206-8469
Hours: Monday through Friday, 6–10 p.m.
The Safe Walkers are trained Naropa students who will go in pairs with you and will be carrying a two-way radio so as to keep you in contact with the dispatcher. They will depart on their walks beginning at 6 p.m. and run every half hour.
