Chelsea O’Neil, MA, ATR, (they/she) serves as the Director/Instructor for the online BA Art Therapy program. In this role, Chelsea is responsible for course development and instruction, student support and mentorship, and program management. Throughout her career, Chelsea has utilized their art therapy training to build community and promote hope, healing, and opportunity for historically marginalized communities. This has included working as a counselor, violence prevention advocate, community organizer, and educator in community nonprofits and higher education settings. She co-founded the first all-LGBTQ counseling center in the state of Wisconsin, where she served as a full-spectrum birth doula, art therapist & mental health counselor, and community educator providing training on anti-racism, reproductive justice, and LGBTQ liberation in healthcare settings. In their free time, Chelsea loves baking cakes, listening to records, playing cozy games on Nintendo Switch, and being an Auntie to six incredible niblings. She lives in the midwest with her partner Owen and their dog, Pekoe Boon.
