Audio Visual Equipment

A variety of equipment is available for faculty classroom use, and in some cases for student use, on each of Naropa’s three campuses.

Arapahoe Campus

The following equipment is available for checkout at the Arapahoe campus library:
  • 1 multimedia AV cart (equipped with digital projector, laptop, and stereo)

  • 2 TV/VCR/DVD combo units, on carts

  • 5 laptop computers

  • 3 multimedia projectors

  • 3 boomboxes

  • 2 portable sound systems

  • 2 digital cameras

  • 2 digital video cameras

  • 1 flip chart/easel

  • 1 overhead projector

  • 3 slide projectors

  • 3 tripods

  • 5 projector screens

  • 7 digital audio recorders

  • 1 USB microphone

  • 2 XLR microphones (for use with portable sound systems)

  • 2 Mic boom stands

  • various computer adapters including Mac

  • USB DVD drives

  • 8 computer speaker sets

  • 1 personal CD player

To book equipment, please call the library circulation desk at 303-546-3507, or come in to the library. Please note that some equipment is very popular, so advanced booking is recommended. Faculty and students must come to the library to check out and pick up equipment at the time for which it is booked.

Since the laptops and multimedia projectors in particular are very expensive and in high demand, use of this equipment is restricted to classroom use or on-campus university-related activities. Students, faculty and staff borrowing this equipment will be required to sign an agreement that outlines charges for replacement of lost equipment. AV equipment is not available to alumni or the general public.

Library staff will attempt to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment on request and as needed.

Overdue Fines for A/V Equipment

  • High priority equipment—includes laptops, multimedia projectors, and TVs   $1 per hour

  • All other equipment, including boom boxes, tape recorders, overhead projector, etc. $1 per day

Paramita Campus

The following equipment is available for checkout at Paramita campus:

  • 2 multimeida AV carts (equipped with digital projectors and laptops)

  • 1 TV cart with VHS/DVD

  • 2 multimedia projectors

  • 3 laptop computers

  • 2 boomboxes

  • 1 overhead projector

  • 1 slide projector

  • 1 sound system

  • 1 set of computer speakers

  • 2 digital video cameras

  • 4 tripods

  • 3 digital camcorders

  • 2 portable screens

  • 1 boom microphone

  • 3 video lab microphones

  • 2 voice recorders

  • 2 whiteboards

  • extension cords and power strips

  • various computer adapters including Mac

All Paramita AV equipment not directly associated with smart classrooms is owned by the library and can be checked out directly from library staff. For more information or to make a reservation, please come by the reference desk at the Paramita Library and Research Center.

Nalanda Campus

The following equipment is available for checkout:

  • 2 multimedia projectors

  • 2 laptop computers

  • 2 TV carts with VHS/DVD

  • 2 boomboxes

  • 1 portable screen

  • 2 voice recorders

  • 2 computer speakers

  • 2 slide projectors

  • 1 extension cord

  • headphones

  • 1 DVD drive

  • 1 whiteboard

  • various computer adapters including Mac

Naropa Campuses Closed on Friday, March 15, 2024

Due to adverse weather conditions, all Naropa campuses will be closed Friday, March 15, 2024.  All classes that require a physical presence on campus will be canceled. All online and low-residency programs are to meet as scheduled.

Based on the current weather forecast, the Healing with the Ancestors Talk & Breeze of Simplicity program scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday will be held as planned.

Staff that do not work remotely or are scheduled to work on campus, can work remotely. Staff that routinely work remotely are expected to continue to do so.

As a reminder, notifications will be sent by e-mail and the LiveSafe app.
