Naropa University is thrilled to announce that we are making 80 convenient parking spots available for the home football games at the University of Colorado Boulder. This exclusive opportunity allows you to secure hassle-free parking in close proximity to the game day action. To ensure a seamless experience, we encourage you to reserve your parking spots in advance via Eventbrite now (cash will not be accepted onsite).

  • From the Naropa Parking lot, head south towards Boulder Creek.
  • After you have passed the CU Athletics Practice Field, take your first left just before Boulder Creek Path.
  • Follow this path until you come across the bridge to your right, which will cross over Boulder Creek. Go up the bridge.
  • Once you hit the parking lot and street above Boulder Creek, Folsom Field will be directly in front of you. Take a right to walk farther to the Dal Ward Athletic Center.

 

Southbound on Folsom Street:

  • Head south on Folsom Street.
  • Take a left on Arapahoe Avenue
  • Take a left on 20th Street at Snarfburger
  • Take the first left onto Marine Street

 

From University and Broadway:

  • Head East on University Avenue
  • Continue straight as University becomes
  • 17th Street heading North
  • Take a right onto Arapahoe Ave
  • Take a right onto 20th Street at Snarfburger
  • Take a left onto Marine Street

Westbound on Arapahoe Avenue:

  • Via US-36 West
  • Head West on Arapahoe Avenue
  • Take a left onto 20th street, just after Snarfburger
  • Take another left onto Marine Street
  • Drive straight into the parking lot

Westbound Traffic

  • It will be very difficult to take a left headed West onto Arapahoe Ave. from 20th St. due to post game traffic.
  • To avoid frustration please follow these directions where you will be able to catch a traffic light on 17th and Arapahoe
  • Return to Marine Street
  • Take a left onto 20th Street
  • Turn right at Athens Court through the CU Family Housing parking lot
  • Take a left or a right onto 17th

Eastbound Traffic to Arapahoe Avenue and to US-36

  • Return to Marine Street
  • Take a right onto 20th Street
  • Turn right at Arapahoe Avenue
  • Naropa Students, Staff, and Faculty will not need to pay for parking for work or class purposes but will need to show school ID or have a Naropa parking permit and may be asked to park in an alternative site on campus.
  • Parking lots open for football game parking four (4) hours prior to kick-off, never earlier than 6:00 a.m.
  • Accessible parking is available at Naropa in limited quantity and still requires a significant walk up the hill to Folsom Field. CU also offers accessible parking.
  • Failure to heed instructions of parking and traffic officials may result in a summons and/or impoundment of the vehicle.
  • Patrons not possessing valid permits will be assessed a parking fee.
  • Campus Department Business Permits, Vendor Permits, Contractor Permits, Worksite Permits, and Emergency Permits are not authorized for personal parking at campus events.
  • During any special event or campus activity, control of parking is managed by Naropa University.
  • Lot closures may be extended beyond the hours listed above when necessary.
  • Public parking is only available in the two Naropa lots on the southside of Arapahoe campus accessed by Marine St, no parking in the Adjunct Lot or other Naropa properties.
  • Only valid CU Family Housing parking permits are honored in the Family Housing parking areas and subject to CU rules and regulations.
  • All other lots not mentioned above are subject to day-and-time restrictions on posted signs.
  • Naropa is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged vehicles or property
  • Please lock and store away from site all valuables.
  • No vehicles over 18 feet in length including attachments
  • No overnight parking
  • Follow the directions
  • Phone numbers and license plates will be provided to Naropa staff in order to park
  • Vehicles must exit Naropa within 1 hour after the game
  • Infringement on these rules may result in towing at the owner’s expense.
  • Allow yourself extra travel time as traffic will be heavy.
  • All other lots not mentioned above are subject to day-and-time restrictions on posted signs.
  • Please follow the directions when entering and exiting the parking lot.
  • The following items/activities are prohibited:
  • Consuming alcohol or carrying alcohol in open containers in any street, sidewalk, car, alley, or other public area.
  • Selling or distributing alcohol without a license
  • Providing alcohol to anyone under 21 years old
  • Providing alcohol to anyone who is already intoxicated
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Canvassing or soliciting/distribution not previously authorized by the Naropa University
  • Deep fryers or any oil-based cooking or frying
  • Open flame fires of any kind. (Charcoal or gas cooking is permitted.)
  • Pack it in, pack it out.
  • Weapons and fireworks
  • Nitrous oxide tanks or balloons.
  • Saving parking spaces
  • Naropa University is a smoke free campus, this includes cigarettes, marijuana, and vapor.

 

The university reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any item or activity and to restrict vehicles due to safety reasons. At its discretion, the university may terminate or take other appropriate action against individuals, groups, or organizations whose conduct is irresponsible, unreasonable, or inconsistent with university policies and regulations, ordinances and laws.

Naropa Campuses Closed on Friday, March 15, 2024

Due to adverse weather conditions, all Naropa campuses will be closed Friday, March 15, 2024.  All classes that require a physical presence on campus will be canceled. All online and low-residency programs are to meet as scheduled.

Based on the current weather forecast, the Healing with the Ancestors Talk & Breeze of Simplicity program scheduled for Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday will be held as planned.

Staff that do not work remotely or are scheduled to work on campus, can work remotely. Staff that routinely work remotely are expected to continue to do so.

As a reminder, notifications will be sent by e-mail and the LiveSafe app.
